Projects and Services
Recreation faculty have been involved in major projects that have had a significant impact on communities throughout Arkansas in terms of how these communities operate their recreation programs. Each year, recreation program faculty work with at least one community and conduct studies involving risk management, feasibility, benchmarking, needs assessment, and administrative reviews.
Dr. Moiseichik’s major area of research is in legislation and how it affects quality and play benefits. Dr. Hunt, who has served as department head for 10 years and was interim dean of the College of Education and Health Professions during the 2000-01 academic year, has conducted collaborative research with faculty from all the program areas in the department as well as the Intramural/Recreational Sports staff. Her recent research has focused on women’s health issues and administrative concerns related to the management of educational/recreational programs.

Recreation faculty have published five chapters in books, 29 technical reports, 28 articles or proceedings, and presented 84 scholarly papers.
